See who took home the awards for each category

The evening proved another big success for The King’s Speech, which scooped four of the big awards – picture, leading actor, director and original screenplay – in total.

Continuing their awards’ season runs, Natalie Portman and Colin Firth again picked up the Best Actress and Best Actor prizes for their roles in Black Swan and The King’s Speech respectively.

The evening was also a triumph for The Fighter, as Christian Bale and Melissa Leo took home the Best Supporting Actor and Actress awards for their roles in the boxing drama. Inception picked up four awards, while Toy Story 3 again beat How To Train Your Dragon to the title of Best Animated Feature Film.

However, it was a disappointing evening for the hotly tipped True Grit and Danny Boyle’s 127 Hours – both of which received nothing.
