  • Jennifer Hudson, Elizabeth Hurley and Jessica Sow rocked the smoky look, with strong blue shadows defining the eyes teamed with layers of liner and mascara
  • Julie Gayet, Kristin Scott Thomas and Pilar Lopez de Ayala created a softer effect with pale blue shadow lapping the lash line
  • The key was to team this look with a pinky nude lip
  • elebrities at Cannes favoured a classic red lip
  • All shades of red were present, from the most vivid poppy reds, as seen on Camilla Belle and Cecile Breccia, to orange-reds, as seen on Malgosia Bela and brick red on Kirsten Dunst
  • Eyes are kept simple apart from a slick of mascara and skin is polished and satiny to allow the lips to stand out
  • Lips are richly pigmented and defined, with a perfect Cupid’s bow shape
